Humility Doesn't Mean That You Should Be a Doormat!

Do you have a difficult time being humble? Do you think you need to put yourself down to be humble? Humility is a difficult concept to fully understand. Many people think that to be humble, they have to be a downcast type of person, someone with how self-esteem.
But true humility is quite the opposite.

In fact, humble individuals tend to have the following characteristics.
1.

They are persistent and graceful. Humble individuals courageously go after what they really ant.

But they do it with grace and poise and not by stepping on another person's toes.
2. They have confidence in their abilities and talents.

They simply do the best they're capable of in any situation.
3.

They never put themselves down. Instead, humble individuals assert themselves, not aggressively, but with respect.
4. They are strong willed.

Humble individuals persistently go after things they believe in.

They don't follow the crowd or do what everyone else tells them to do just to fit in.
5.

They are kind and generous.

Humble individuals go through life with a smile on their faces and are ready and willing to help anyone in need.

6. They know what's right and they go after it. Humble individuals have a strong sense of right and wrong.
This propels them forward in action.

They refrain from doing what is expected if they don't think it is right.

7. They are assertive, but not aggressive.

To be assertive is to be confident and forceful with grace.
To be aggressive is to angrily go after your own egoistical needs and wants. Aggressive individuals are usually vulnerable, unsure of themselves, and weak.

Assertive individuals are self-assured.
8.

They love everyone equally.

Humble individuals care for all people equally. They don't play favourites.
From these characteristics, you can see clearly that being humble isn't a weakened state of being at all but a powerful one.
